The popular block-centric smash hit Minecraft is finally coming to Nintendo’s Wii U console. Mojang announced in a press release today that the game will release next week on December 17th for $29.99 and will come with six free texture packs. Additional texture packs will be available to purchase separately. Mojang also teased some collaboration with Nintendo that could mean Mario, Zelda and other franchise texture packs may be headed to the Wii U in the future.
