Insomniac Games is getting their feet wet with a new IP. The developers of Ratchet and Clank, Sunset Overdrive and Resistance revealed their newest project Song of the Deep, an underwater exploration adventure.

The game follows a girl named Merryn, who is searching for her father, a fisherman who has gone missing. Using a makeshift submarine she descends below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean to begin her search. She must deal with sea creatures and ancient machines while collecting upgrades that will open more areas to explore.

Song of the Deep will be sold digitally on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Steam. Physical copies, however, will be exclusively available at GameStop, who has partnered with Insomniac Games for publishing and distributing.

Song of the Deep will be $14.99 and launches this summer. GameStop as usual is taking preorders.
