Nicalis’ addictive top-down dungeon crawler The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is being developed for iOS. This news comes two years after Edmund McMillen, one of the game’s designers, teased a potential iPad version by saying:
“we miiiiight also test the game out on ipad and see how it works, if it works ok then we will also release there.”
Tyrone Rodriguez, a founder and developer at Nicalis tweeted footage of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth running on an iPhone 5s and an iPad. A joystick as well as an A and B button appear on screen as the game’s controls.

Rodriguez also tweeted a short video of the iPhone 5s version being controlled with a bluetooth controller.

No other information has been revealed in terms of when or even if the game will release. The fact that the developers are showing it off is a good sign for fans of Isaac, but a bad sign for productivity.
UPDATE: Apple has rejected The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth from the app store due to violence against children.
