Possible Pokémon GO footage shown at SXSW

by Joshua Russo

Niantic Inc, the augmented reality company developing the much anticipated Pokémon GO mobile game, had a panel today during SXSW. CEO of Niantic John Hanke held an event titled “The Future of AR is Already in Your Pocket”, and a NeoGAF user posted some possible footage allegedly from the event showing Pokémon GO in action.

If this footage is indeed authentic gameplay from Pokémon GO, it would be our first glimpse of the game. A previously scheduled GDC event was supposed to be the first look at the game, but the panel was cancelled.
