A posting on NeoGAF has a report from Chinese microblog Weibo reporting that something called “Xbox One II” started being produced back in February of this year.
600-800g is about two pounds, which is well under the seven pounds that the current model of Xbox One weighs. Rumors have already been flying that a possible slim model of the Xbox One could be announced at the upcoming E3 conference. A new controller is also rumored to be revealed, a rumor given fuel by a recent leak of the approved FCC filing by Microsoft for a new wireless chip.
Microsoft’s E3 press conference will take place on June 13 at 9:30am PST, so be sure to check back here for our liveblog and livestream to catch all the news as it is announced.
