Today Star Wars fans across the globe are celebrating Star Wars day, May the Fourth. Part of today’s celebration includes a new video game developed by Respawn Entertainment, the makers of Titanfall.

Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios, posted the news today on Electronic Arts’ website.

At EA right now, we have multiple studios building a variety of great Star Wars games spanning different genres. We are all united by our teams’ passion for Star Wars™ stories, characters, and adventures.

Today, I’m thrilled to be able to announce that EA and the talented team at Respawn Entertainment have expanded our relationship to include the development of an all-new 3rd person action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.

Even though details were next to none, this is exciting news for fans of Star Wars. The game could be in early stages of development, or perhaps Electronic Arts will give more details during their conference at E3 on June 12 at 1pm PST.
