Microsoft E3 conference livestream and liveblog

9:17 a.m. Good morning everyone! Welcome to our E3 coverage as we arrive at the Microsoft E3 press conference due in about 15 minutes.

9:30 a.m. Conference should be live any minute now.

9:32 a.m. We get our first look at the Xbox One S, a slim model of the Xbox One. 40% smaller and integrated power supply.

9:33 a.m. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox takes the stage. Presenting the new Xbox One S in August for $299

9:34 a.m. Todd Ferguson takes the stage to demo the new Gears of War 4. Also, crossplay with PC has been announced.

9:36 a.m. Voice actress Laura Bailey is on stage and gives a little backstory to her character in “Gears of War 4.”

9:37 a.m. Graphically the game looks very impressive as a sandstorm is wrecking the environment.

9:39 a.m. Gears of War 4 will be playable on Xbox One and PC, and will feature cross buy too. The Xbox copy will give you access to the PC copy of the game for free.

9:41 a.m. A new weapon appears to shoot saw blades, looks very cool.

9:41 a.m. The environments seem very interactive as the player can shoot objects to bring down pillars and down a big group of enemies.

9:42 a.m. Impressive demonstration for Gears of War 4 with none other than Marcus Fenix to end it. Coming October 11.

9:44 a.m. Rukari Austin presenting favorable numbers for Killer Instinct on Xbox One and PC.

9:46 a.m. Killer Instinct is also part of the Xbox Play Anywhere and will be compatible with Xbox One and PC.

9:47 a.m. New trailer looks like the new Forza game. Also part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.

9:48 a.m. Officially titled Forza Horizon 3.

9:50 a.m. A big Australian open world in Forza Horizon 3, a large variety of car types with 4-player co-op campaign.

9:51 a.m. Forza Horizon comes September 27.

9:53 a.m. Very cool trailer for recore, highlighting some of the robots in the game, no release date announced.

9:54 a.m. Square Enix takes the stage to demo Final Fantasy XV.

9:56 a.m. God of War meets Final Fantasy? Noctis is taking on a gigantic opponent in the demo.

9:58 a.m. Final Fantasy XV will released September 30.

9:59 a.m. The Division makes an appearance at the Micorsoft show announcing their new expansion due June 28.

10:00 a.m. If you have EA Access you will be able to play Battlefield 1 on October 13. Almost 2 weeks before its official release.

10:03 a.m. Microsoft is bringing background music this summer, along with language region independence and Cortana.

10:05 a.m. Clubs have been announced for Xbox one, a place where one can find groups of like-minded gamers.

10:06 a.m. Arena on Xbox Live you can compete and challenge your friends.

10:07 a.m. Minecraft can now be played online with friends on Xbox, PC, Android and iOS.

10:09 a.m. Minecraft will also support Oculus VR.

10:10 a.m. Minecraft Realms will be available today.

10:11 a.m. You can now customize your Xbox One controller with any color combination you want.

10:14 a.m. Inside available June 29 is a game from the creators of Limbo.

10:15 a.m. To celebrate the release of Inside, Limbo will be free on Xbox Live today.

10:17 a.m. Cool trailer featuring a bunch of Indie Games that will available on Xbox including Cuphead.

10:23 a.m. We Happy Few looks absolutely creepy and awesome, definitely a highlight of the show so far, coming to Xbox One first.

10:24 a.m. CD Projekt Red is announcing their new game Gwent, which is based on the Witcher 3 card game played in taverns.

10:26 a.m. Closed beta coming soon and the releases on September.

10:28 a.m. Live demo of what appears to be a Street Fighter X Tekken game.

10:29 a.m. It appears its just Tekken 7 featuring Akuma from the Street Fighter series.

10:30 a.m. Tekken 7 will release early in 2017 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be available for free this week for Xbox Live Gold members.

10:32 a.m. Dead Rising 4 coming Holiday 2016 and features Frank! the Protagonist of the very first game.

10:35 a.m. Scalebound by Platinum Games is introuduced on stage.

10: 36 a.m. 4 player co-op matches with a gigantic boss fight and dragon riding, what else do you need?

10:38 a.m. The boss appears to have multiple stages and will take a lot off teamwork to take down, very impressive.

10:40 a.m. Scalebound will be available early 2017. Another excellent effort from Platinum Games.

10:42 a.m. Sea of Thieves will try to encapsulate the pirate life and pirate way.

10:46 a.m. New Zombie apocalypse game exclusively on Xbox One.

10:48 a.m. It was actually State of Decay 2.

10:49 a.m. And we got our first trailer for Halo Wars 2, it was all CG, but still pretty cool.

10:51 a.m. Halo Wars 2 will release February 21, 2017 and will have a multiplayer beta starting today and lasting for a week.

10:53 a.m. Phil Spencer is recapping the success of the xbox family of products and what they’ve shown so far today.

10:55 a.m. Scorpio Xbox announcement incoming.

10:56 a.m. Project Scorpio is coming Holiday 2017.

10:58 a.m. 4K visuals and VR support without affecting performance. Touting it as the most powerful console available in the market.
