The development of Scalebound has not been going well

UPDATE: Eurogamer is confirming Scalebound’s cancellation. Original story below.

Platinum Games’ next project Scalebound is in some serious trouble according to a report from Kotaku. Not only has the game been missing since August of last year, but Xbox’s website has taken down the official Scalebound page. A statement to Kotaku from Microsoft only said “We’ll have more to share on Scalebound soon”.

Scalebound was first announced in 2014 as a third person action role-plying game. The game was created by Hideki Kamiya, who previously directed Bayonetta for Platinum Games. In the event that the report is wrong, Scalebound is a Microsoft exclusive and will launch on Xbox One and PC.
