After more than a year of testing, the popular indie farming simulator Stardew Valley is heading to the Nintendo Switch this week. The game was originally set to release on Nintendo’s Wii U console, but was later pushed to its successor.
In a post on the official website, Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) said
“I’m very happy to see Stardew come to a Nintendo console… I grew up on Nintendo, after all! This will not only be the first time Stardew Valley appears on a Nintendo platform, but also the first time Stardew will be on a portable system.”
Barone thanked both Sickhead Games who ported Stardew Valley to the Nintendo Switch and the game’s pubisher, Chucklefish. Stardew Valley will release on the Nintendo eShop at $14.99 on Oct 5.
